:: In a blink of an eye ::
Life is too precious... too precious that it's simply scary... scary to know one moment you're there... and the next moment you're not anymore...
i recently lost my cousin to a motor racing incident... yes it was an official race... yes he was well equipped... yes it was a legal track... yes he ended up taking the checkered flag at pole position... and NO, he did not collide with another vehicle...
i guess it was a misjudged timing on his part, but he lost control of his bike and then, in an instant, he crashed...
there was a LOT of hoo-haas during the incident... a lot that i do not want to mention here because it angers me... it makes me sad... it makes me think too much...
if you do want to know more about how it happened and what was done about me, probably, contact me or email me or ask me personally, and i'll be glad to give you the info, and let you decide for yourself how you'd like to judged the scene...
Last wednesday... what was suppose to be a sad occasion turned out to be more like a freak show with reporters and TV crew coming in to interview his sister, his girlfriend... take shots of those mourning and all... and to think my face and my cousin's face came on to TV...
5 seconds of fame on TV will never bring back the one, that I had lost, to life...
5 seconds of fame on TV will never bring justice to those responsible for his death...
5 seconds of fame on TV will never undo what has already been done...
he was only 28...
he was going to get married this year...
he was going to quit his job for a new life...
so its pretty much sad to even keep on repeating myself to those who saw me on TV, asking me what happened and how did it happen...
But i do appreciate all those who've sent their condolences to me and the grieving family... and i thank all those who said a few prayers for my cousin...
I do know that he is in a better place, watching us from above... =)
Goodbye my cousin, even though you were more like a brother to me...
this post, hopefully gives me and his family a piece of closure... i will pray for you... to be constantly happy wherever you are...
I'm even more sad writing this, but I guess in life, this is a HUGE lesson for all of us to learn...
To remember that even in a blink of an eye, our lives can be taken from us...
Life is too precious... too precious that it's simply scary...
